on a lighter note
Apr. 3rd, 2012 10:45 amInstead of complaining about all the things going wrong right now I've decided to post what's going right.
I will be 30 in less than 30 days and I'm kinda excited about it. I know a lot of my friends are freaking out and feeling old, but I feel good, my body image has never been better and I managed to get not one, but two phone numbers the last time I went out for drinks. I think that means I've still got it. ;)
I've also started actively exercising by walking 2 miles every other day and crunches each night. I will eventually work on my arms, but baby steps, people, baby steps. I've been walking with my sister and building a relationship with her since we've never been the best of friends and it's nice. (The one good affect of my father's illness is that my family has circled the wagons and we're closer than ever.) Apparently I made my sister cry by calling to tell her about a funny thing that happened at work because I'd never done that before and I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I suppose it's a good thing.
My upcoming events are a Relay for Life Walk on April 21st and a 5K Color Run on Dec 2nd. I need to get up to snuff for the run.
