Apr. 13th, 2014 10:15 pmFirst and foremost when other people listen to Avicii's 'Hey Brother' do you hear Hulk Hogan in your head? "Hey, brother!" I love the song, but the thought makes me smile every time I hear the phrase in the song. :)
I joined twitter. I've not yet tweeted anything, but I've joined and have already started stalking people. I've only retweeted something Jim Beaver wrote. We'll see how this goes.
I've gotten another 1200 words written for the Captain America story that's piqued my interest. Working my way through a fight scene so that number might double or be shaved in half by the time I'm done editing. I think I'm getting better at eliminating the useless details that my writing style tends to incorporate. It's fine to paint a picture, but the reader's imagination should be allowed to add in some brushstrokes too, I think.
I just finished Nora Robert's 'Witness' which was an interesting read and at times I didn't want to put it down. I also found myself more attached to the male lead in this one which is new and interesting for me. Just started the new Mercy Thompson book. So far so good, but I had forgotten how Briggs likes to toss a lot of characters at you at once. It reminds me of the Sookie Stackhouse novels, but with better pacing.
