It’s Awfully Hard to be Brave
He was a little anxious, Piglet was, because he was a very small animal entirely surrounded by a cage made of metal and plastic. Christopher Robin’s nimble fingers could have escaped from the locked door. Kanga could have escaped by jumping so high that the cage fell from the table that Piglet found himself perched upon and the door would spring open, freeing her and possibly Roo. Piglet’s small eyes narrowed and he glanced down and down, a shudder running from snout to tail before he stepped back and whimpered. Here he was surrounded by a cage and he couldn’t do anything!
Tapping filled the room, followed by soft, muffled laughter and Piglet’s ears folded forward, covering his small eyes as he tucked his shoulders, making himself smaller still as a door opened. More laughter and foot steps filled the once quiet room and Piglet quaked as fingers ran over his cage and he swallowed, mustering all of his courage and lifted his ears to see a pair of very brown eyes looking into his own.
The human cocked his head and smiled, a smile that frightened Piglet more then a Heffalump ever had, before he stated, “Let’s do lunch.”
The End.
Note :: Yes, I know I’m going to hell for this one.
