I’d hoped to get started back up on tamingthemuse  this week. The community had switched to Dreamwidth after the whole LJ user agreement fiasco, but it hasn’t been updated since the middle of August. I was looking forward to the structure of the community even if the words sometimes confounded me.

So I’m going to attempt to challenge myself. I located a random word generator (via a handy-dandy Google search) and it provided me with these 12 words. Over the next 12 weeks I’m going to tackle one a week and write story/scene/chapter inspired by these words. I’m going to go in the order the words were presented to me (no skipping).

For such standard, run of the mill words, those are pretty evocative of some very diverse plots. If I could manage to write my way out of wet tissue paper and hold the threads of a plot, I'd try that myself. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

I'm mostly trying to get back into the swing of it and tamingthemuse helped with that a few years back. It's a pity they've gone dormant after all this time. Hopefully, I can keep myself motivated.

My goal is 300 words tonight. *crosses fingers*
