So a completely and utterly random plot bunny leapt into my head the other night. What if the people who set off the electromagnetic pulse over the United States in Dark Angel were Sarah and John Connor in a last ditch effort to stop SkyNet. *ponders*

Sarah Connor Chronicles is a suprisingly rich source of crossover bunnies, isn't it? =)

I keep wondering if the reason Kyle Reese went back in time the first time (because there must have been a first time, in a timeline where there was no John Connor to give him Sarah's photo, and the Resistance wasn't necessarily winning) was because Megatron (from the 2007 Transformers movie) unfroze early and used the AllSpark to create the Terminators. So the Autobots, arriving too late, came up with a way to send someone back to keep Megatron from unfreezing...

... Et cetera, et cetera. =) It would probably be a "Five Timelines That Led to Judgment Day, and One That Didn't" kind of a fic.

I'm not sure I'll ever write it; I'm not sure I know enough about the Transformers universe to do it justice. But it keeps nagging at the back of my brain.
