Please raise your hands if you just weren’t impressed with Jared’s, or the version the writer’s gave him, of Lucifer? There was so much cliché and contradiction wrapped into such a short time it made my head hurt. How can Lucifer admit that the reason behind his fall was his ambivalence towards humanity and still walk around in a human body? Hello, my name is hypocrisy, and unless this little side note is explained (IE he needs the vessel to interact on this plan) then this is a plot hole you could drive a truck through.

I thought Castiel of the future was funny, but again I’m confused as to why Castiel wouldn’t have passed away with his power. Where is Jimmy? Does this future version of Castiel have split personalities or did Castiel completely fry poor Jimmy’s soul the second time he took over?

I do admit that I cheered when Lucifer stepped on Dean of the future’s neck to break it. The casual, he’s really not that important, end was perfectly anti-climatic and, in all honesty, Dean of the future deserved it. I am disappointed that we didn’t know what caused Sam to say yes and that interests me more then Dean’s tears and remorse.

I'm still watching. The acting makes me stick around even when I think Kripke and Co need to pick up a damn bible and read it. Plus I 'heart' Bobby like woah and he's been in nearly all the episodes so far this season.

The apocalypse is happening right now in the series. The battles are raging and the angels and humanity are currently on the losing end. There are some bright moments this season mostly surrounding Dean and Castiel's interaction and Chuck the prophet and they help balance out my confusion/irritation.

I'm just disappointed that Kripke and Co are doing the same 'why me' devil as most of Hollywood. I would have liked to see something different even if they made him sympathetic. I do like the actor playing him currently though. He has a definite guy next door vibe that makes him creepy.

Wouldn't it have been cool if they would have build their Lucifer after the Constantine version?

Hmm... I googled lucifer-supernatural-images and looked around and yeah, he is next-door'ish. Not OMG interesting looking enough to rope me back into the show, though.

And I kind of hate how Hollywood does the bible.

Maybe I'll catch up on the rerun-flipside...

I'm actually glad they didn't pick a pretty boy. Now don't get me wrong I adore me some Jared and Jensen, but I want substance over eye candy most of the time.

Me too on the Hollywood and bible... the Passion of the Christ was decent, but a little squicky at times.

Passion of the Christ made me twitch. I actually went to the theater to see it, and I thought about asking for a refund. Oh sure, Mel Gibson, this is the TRUE story of what happened. Factual account. Right. I thought Jesus Christ Superstar had more truth in it, and I include the singing.

I’m sorry, but when was it ever advertised as factual? Mel Gibson mainly stuck to the New Testament and didn’t ‘sugar coat’ the torture Christ supposedly went through. I’m confused by your statement.

Gibson claims that his film is "very realistic and as close as possible to what I perceive the truth to be." - Taken from http://virtualreligion.net/forum/passion.html

Mel Gibson really wants authenticity on his next directing project, a movie about Jesus Christ called ''The Passion.'' - Taken from http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,353684,00.html

YMMV on whether factual = authentic.

Regardless, I thought it was bizarre that he kept saying in interviews that he wanted something realistic, yet he portrayed a character as seeing demons, never telling anyone that he saw the demons, and dying. Where did these demons come from, then?

His creep factor was interesting, but I like Kripke's sympathetic version, but Jared kinda dropped the ball. He want for superior over sympathetic and it made me dislike the character. Of course that Lucifer had already won so that might account for the characterization shift.

Jared could have hit that realy hard. Just sayin'. I've not watch the whole ep yet, just read what everyone else has said. Can't wait really.

Jared could have taken that and run with it, but he definitely played it safe and that kinda made me feel 'meh' about the character when previously I had enjoyed the little snippets we got.
