Fic meme:
Pick a paragraph (or any passage less than 500 words) from any fanfic I've written, and comment to this post with that selection. I will then give you a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the character's heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the fic, lots of awful puns, and anything else that you'd expect to find on a DVD commentary track.
My fic can be found here.

Date: 2009-11-18 02:39 am (UTC)Buffy’s first introduction to Illyria was seeing her fight at Angel’s side and then at her own. She was in all her Old One glory and rocking the battle field which would earn her some respect and of all Buffy’s personality quirks, earning her respect seems to be the hardest of them all. So Buffy’s not necessarily trusting Illyria in this moment, but she is noticing a very powerful, very potential-filled ally when she’s just lost two of them.
I admit that the main reason behind their friendship in this story was because I’d never seen it done before and I wanted to try something new. I like new things. I like stories that don’t follow the normal trend so I try to do that with my stories and this makes me want to reread my Hollow Places notes. *ponders*
