Chris Evans as Captain America and Sebastian Stan as Bucky… are you kidding me? Do I look twelve? Do I look like I want a hot twenty something to play my iconic comic book characters? No, I'm not and no, I don't want babies picking up Cap's shield.

My anger sharks are swimming and these boys had better be taking notes from Robert Downey Jr. on how to be awesome.

Even though I'm not a big Marvel person, I'm not all that impressed by who they chose to play Captain America. I don't know, he just doesn't seem like Steve Rogers to me at all.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm a DC girl through and through, Catwoman for the win, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the good that has come outta Marvel.

I do think Chris Evans will look wicked hot in the Captain America uniform, but come the fuck on! Captain America is stuck outta time, he's angry, confused and would have a 50s mentality of men and woman and none of these things are evident on Chris Evans’ resume. He was perfect for Johnny Storm. That part was made for him, but Cap? No, not so much. *fumes*

They always pick the wrong people when they turn my books/comic books into movies, too. I think that's the curse of people with imagination.

I do admit that Robert Downey Jr. actually makes me like the character Tony Stark when I despise him in the comic'verse. So kudos to that casting, but this? This makes my fangirl heart ache.

I'm a nerd, too. I've been following the casting for this kinda closely since I found out that Jensen was up for the role, as was Mike Vogel. I will say that I don't really care about Captain America (mostly because I know nothing about him, and I need to fix that) but I know that Chris better get used to wearing that costume. He'll be playing Captain America a lot.

None of the actors you’ve just named could pull off Cap. I adore Jensen, I really do, but I would be pitching the same fit if he’d gotten the part. I am also fuming at the thought of Whedon directing the Avengers movie. Whedon, of late, has sucked and he’s done terrible, horrible things with the X-Men, except killing Kitty Pryde because I can’t stand that character, but other then that it was just blah. Thank God he as not be confirmed yet.

Of course I could be wrong and this movie could rock.

But I doubt it.

I didn't think Evans could pull off Captain America when they announced it and, after seeing "The Losers," I'm even less confident.

He's cute and he definitely bulked up a bit for T.L. but... I just can't get there from here.

So far, the only good thing I can see coming from this bit of casting is that it just might might save us all from another craptastic Fantastic Four sequel.
